Our team has decades of fire protection experience, and we are here to put that knowledge to work for you.
Jeff Robinson
After earning degrees in both Fire Science and Business Administration, Jeff began his career in fire protection. Since then he has devoted the majority of his time to becoming an expert in fire alarm systems design and installation. Jeff is a national fire code expert and applies this knowledge, and more than a decade of practical experience, to his designs. Jeff designs networked systems, and voice-evacuation, mass-notification, and high-rise and special applications. Jeff holds three NICET certifications, including level IV in fire alarms, and is an Ohio board-certified fire alarm designer.
A former firefighter and EMT, Todd has spent his entire career in fire protection. With over 2 decades of fire protection experience he is well versed in all of Meridian’s product offerings. His expertise lies in special hazard fire protection. He is familiar with all of the suppression manufacturers we represent and has a thorough understanding of each of their design and calc programs. NICET certified in five different areas, he holds a Level-IV certification in both fire alarm and special hazard fire systems. Todd is also board certified as a designer in both of those disciplines in Ohio.
With a background as a Firefighter and Paramedic, Bill has devoted his career to Fire and Life Safety and developed a passion for the prevention perspective. He came to Meridian with years of experience in the restaurant and pre-engineered side of the suppression business. Because he is so familiar with most restaurant-related products and services, Bill fills a niche in our suppression design offerings with his knowledge of almost every UL-300 listed kitchen suppression system on the market. Additionally, Bill developed the customized educational product offerings of Meridian and has produced a number of training programs about restaurant-related services. Bill is currently working very closely with a partner company in the offering of a new grease containment product.
Terry Flanagan
As an Air Force firefighting veteran, Terry Flanagan brings a lifetime of practical experience to Meridian. Federally certified as a fire inspector, investigator, officer, and instructor, Terry is our fire training and fire education expert. With more certifications and accreditations than we can easily list here, Terry has a passion for the fire and safety industry and has successfully combined this with his practical hands-on experience and approach to fire training. Fluent with most state and federal codes and regulations, including NFPA, OSHA, and IFSAC, his services are in demand nationally. Terry has been invaluable to our partner company NIFAST in his role as their Director of Education and Certification. Terry’s research and assistance has been behind many of the training programs NIFAST has offered and most of Meridian’s.
